Flourish Anyway: January 2
Flourish Anyway Today
Around 5:45 p.m. on December 31, I realized I failed to show up for a Zoom co-retreating session I was scheduled to host at five o’clock. I forgot about the Zoom gathering. I just forgot. I wish I had a more interesting excuse, but alas.
After about 30 seconds of feeling terrible about this mistake, I realized I had just experienced my final fail of 2025. This narrative shift gave me a sense of freedom, helped me offer myself grace, and made me chuckle.
How can you flourish anyway, even when you mess up or fail? How can you shift the narrative? What else is also true?
A Note from Charlotte
Here’s what I posted on Instagram a few minutes ago. It counts as my note for today.
Cheers to realizing we’re further along than we thought.
