Five Years of The Great Belonging + So Much to Celebrate

If you’re waiting for life (or politics?) to settle down before you celebrate, spoiler: it never does.

This week, we’re throwing some Flourish Anyway™ confetti—messy, imperfect, wildly joyful confetti—no matter what else is happening. Why? Because we’re marking FIVE whole years since The Great Belonging first wandered out into the world (Broadleaf Books, November 10, 2020). We’re also raising a glass to the upcoming book birthday of Spiritual Direction for Writers that now has an official publication date (Eerdmans, September 2, 2026). And that’s not all:

• We just launched our very own small press, Thoughtful Books Etc.

• The Great Belonging Project and Take More Retreats: A Solo Retreat Guidebook for Writers, Journalers, and Anyone Who Wants to Flourish Anyway are our inaugural releases.

• We’re gathering everything under one big flourishing umbrella: Flourish Anyway™, the new home for all of Charlotte Donlon's writing, spiritual direction, and creative adventures.

It’s a lot. It’s imperfect. It’s real. And it’s TOTALLY worth celebrating.
